Tonight we’ll be talking and getting to know our fellow PSN broadcaster, Debra Jayne East. Debra is the author of Radiance, a novel that’s an NDE love story. It has its basis in reality!

Here is Debra’s bio: “Debra Jayne East grew up in a rural town in Virginia and from an early age she had an interest in writing, astronomy and science. In 1968, close to midnight, her family went outside to see what their German Shepard dog was barking at. Looming over the hill, a lens-shaped object the size of a tractor trailer with a rotating band of blue, white, and red lights hovered silently in the moonlight. That was the first UFO sighting she experienced at twelve years of age.

“That was only the beginning of the family’s sightings with the most significant one happening in 1987 after a large UFO flap in Wytheville, Virginia. After hundreds of sightings by military, the sheriff’s department, and many locals including radio newscaster Danny Gordon, her parents woke up to find a strange triangle-shaped landing marks in their back field.

“After her career and raising a family, Ms. East returned to her first love and began writing paranormal books and also researching the UFO phenomenon. This led to her hosting her own radio show six years ago and she is still giving people a voice to tell their stories today. ‘It’s my legacy,’ she smiles. ‘I like to believe we are all a piece of the puzzle. I not only interview people like Bruce Maccabee, James Bartley, and Peter Robbins, who are experts in their own fields but the everyday person, researcher, or abductee with unique stories to share.’ ”

Sorry we missed you all last week! We took a family-style break to babysit one of the greatest kids, ever, and we’re happy to be back on the air tonight. We will be interviewing paranormal researcher Steve E. Asher and talking about his new book, Hauntings of the Kentucky State Penitentiary. Steve is also a freelance artist as well as a writer, and he has worked over ten years in law enforcement and as a correctional officer.

Chase earned her Master Trainer, Master Instructor title while employed with the Department of Defense. Armed with a Bio-mechanical Engineer accreditation, she was responsible for designing specialized programs and the supervision of complete success regarding Force Readiness, unique mission responsibilities, and Elite Force Protection. This was achieved by understanding the goals and requirements placed on physical and mental strength assignments that are demanded and expected for today’s Active Duty members and civilian anti-terrorist units. This includes assignments with Homeland Security and Private Sector Security Forces.

Schooled and certified as a Private Investigator, Chase consistently demonstrates the knowledge, technical requirements, legal parameters and the commitment to evidence based investigations using the latest technologies and methodologies deployed by professional Law Enforcement Officials in a modern and forward moving scientific environment. She joined the Mutual UFO Network in 1996 and was selected as The Star Team Manager and Deputy Director of Investigations through 2011. She was responsible for the program design, protocols and investigation procedures for a national rapid response unit. This included supervision of the most experienced investigators and access to the most sensitive and complex cases reported to MUFON.

In 2015 she accepted the position of Deputy Director of Investigations and Special Case Manager leading a team of high performance and highly skilled investigators to special assignments in MUFON. Soroya Biela has taken a selfie!

Tonight we celebrate one of our own with an incredible first-novel rollout! Velvet Heaven is the first in a triology of novels written by Soroya Biela, our guest tonight. Sorora is 40, born and raised in Warren, Michigan. She graduated from Wayne State University in 2012 with a BA in English.

Tonight’s show will try to sidestep politics a bit and instead concentrate on the joy of writing, especially sexy-vampire-novel-writing.

From Soroya’s blog: “My classes at Wayne State were heavily concentrated in creative writing, including several graduate level courses which I completed as an undergrad. I have participated in dozens of fiction writing workshops, and have even completed a play, entitled Apple Pie, which is set in the 1950s and deals with the intriguing subject of the secret lives of lesbian housewives.”

A Delusion of Satan by Frances Hill.

Tonight we welcome Frances Hill to the show, and we will be talking about her research into the Salem Witch Trials, which she has covered in both fiction and nonfiction.

Here is her bio:

Frances Hill

Frances Hill was born in London in 1943 and went to Keele University, Staffordshire, where she obtained a BA Honours degree in English Literature and Philosophy. After travelling in Europe and the U.S. she worked as assistant to the blind journalist T.E.Utley, a leader writer and later deputy editor on The Daily Telegraph, in London’s Fleet Street. She then worked for the London Times Educational Supplement, writing about education and social work issues and in 1973 moved to New York to work for the TES as American correspondent.

On returning to the UK, she became a free lance journalist while working on her first novel, Out of Bounds. For many years she was the radio critic for the TES as well as a fiction reviewer and obituary writer for The Times and feature writer for many other publications including The Times Higher Education Supplement, The Guardian and The Spectator. Out of Bounds was published by John Murray in 1985 and followed by a second novel, A Fatal Delusion (John Murray), in 1989.

In 1992 she began work on her acclaimed account of the Salem witch trials, A Delusion of Satan, which was published by Doubleday in New York in 1995 and Hamish Hamilton in London in 1996. The paperback was published in England by Penguin in 1996 and in the US by da Capo in 1997. A new edition with a new preface appeared in 2002. Her second book on the Salem witch trials, The Salem Witch Trials Reader, was published by da Capo in 2000 and her third book on the same subject, Hunting for Witches, A Visitor’s Guide to the Salem Witch Trials, was published by Commonwealth Editions in 2002.

Such Men Are Dangerous, The Fanatics of 1692 and 2004 was published by Upper Access in March 2004. Her most recent book, Deliverance from Evil, a novel about the Salem Witch Trials, is published by Overlook Press in the US and Duckworth in the UK. Frances Hill lives in London but visits the U.S. regularly, spending every summer in Connecticut. 🚀
