Jim Channon 🚀 6

👯 May 1, 2010

After a little swimming around, we have landed a truly big fish for Saturday’s show: Jim Channon! If his name is not familiar to you, I will bet that his work is … if you’ve been following the big ideas of the end of the last century.

Jim was recently portrayed in the movie The Men Who Stare at Goats by Jeff Bridges, and if you’ve not seen the movie, try to rent it before this weekend and watch it. Then, if haven’t already, grab your current copy of UFO Magazine and make sure you’ve read the two articles on Jim and the entire First Earth Battalion movement.

For those of you who are not subscribers – hard as that may be to understand – here are the PDFs of those two articles:

<a href=”/assets/pdf/23.11.38-41.ronson.pdf” Staring at the Men Who Stare at GoatsStaring at the Men Who Stare at Goats</a> by Lesley Gunter, and <a href=”/assets/pdf/23.11.42-44.goats.pdf” There Really Is a Vulcan Death GripThere Really Is a Vulcan Death Grip</a> by William Birnes

Some people are ahead of the wave; some people never even step foot into the ocean. Jim Channon understands what it means to be one with the waves, and if we can hardly wait to ask him about the kind of rides he has taken!

Make sure you listen to this one. It will, no doubt, change your life entirely. A wonderful and insightful conversation with Jim, founder of the First Earth Battalion and all-round brilliant human being. Sit back, adjust your headphones, and prepare for launch. 🚀

Really looking forward to this one just happens I watched men who stare at goats yesterday for the first time, and I did not know you were having him on. I have a big show myself at 10pm EST with Michael Schratt. Good luck, I’ll be promoting the show all day, and tuning in at show time.

Mr. Channon simply killed!

The Terence McKenna impersonation actually raised the hair on the back of my neck!

Still, he missed a major point about time wave zero, I think, that I’m sure he must be aware of and could have shared with the audience!

See, IAW McKenna, just like matter is found out over time to be of many tastes & flavors beyond mere mixtures of earth, air, fire, and water, and space is correspondingly found to be an actual substance in its own right with many different properties beyond merely being “somewhere to put stuff,” TIME comes in to its own being recognized with 64 properties defining ebbs and flows between “habit” and “novelty” and this ebb and flow may even be able to be predicted in a mathematical phrase or expression. This is the contribution of time wave zero. Time has flavors, itself, redoubles upon itself and recapitulates itself in shorter and shorter spans of itself! Pretty heave info, eh?

Thanks for the inclusion of McKenna relevance and a demonstration that I have not been wasting my time studying him McKenna.

Killer Show! Really the best on the air, if not the best of the best on the air! w00t!

Nancy - Could you post the title of that book you kept recommending to Channon? I am too lazy to try to find it in the audio and I didn’t write it down.
